What an amazing time of year to be traveling in this area. The weather has been great while we were at Yellowstone NP. When we got up to leave Monday, the park had been closed due to snow. So we were a little later getting away but it was so beautiful.
Going south thru the park, around Lake Yellowstone (which was really big) and thru the mountains as we drove on hwy 89 was breathtaking. We were in awe at the beauty. Stopped at a koa in Montpelier, Idaho (nestled in the mountains) overnight and then continued on around Bear Lake still staying on 89, Would def recommend this drive in Autumn for any travellers. Destination Antelope Is. Utah.
