Mom helps with preserves

End of August bring a trip to the market for fresh produce to make Salsa and Chili Sauce. Michelle and Jodi are excited to hear the lids pop on the 54 jars of salsa after chopping up 2 bushels of Roma tomatoes plus the peppers and onions. But it's worth it! I brought 8 quarts of chopped tomatoes back to the coach to make the Chili Sauce this week for us.

Sauble Beach

We enjoyed our reunion with Bill n Gail and Bill n Angie again for two weeks at Sauble. This year Skip n Lana and Bobby n Patsy, friends from Texas, joined us. We really enjoyed our 'all you can eat' at Lord Elgins in Port Elgin. Fish was excellent. Lana got to see the sunset on the beach. We were surprised one day when Gloria n Dennis, more friends from Texas, showed up for a visit. Bill n Gail and John n I enjoyed a great dinner with Wayne and Helen and got caught up on the happenings with all our school time friends in Owen Sound.  We all spent hours of laughter playing Jokers and Marbles. John and I enjoyed a beautiful 'Italian' dinner at Rick n Bonnie's in Shallow Lake to talk about our trip to South Africa next year. Played Jokers and Marbles for a few hours with us girls winning (not bragging or anything). Ending our two weeks with the Sand Castle competition and Old Car Show on the beach, left us with many fine memories to enjoy until next year.
